Job search parallel
I realized that looking for a job is like dating. You just keep putting yourself out there and making yourself available, looking as good as possible until finally something works out.
I haven't had to search for a job in two and a half years, and I *really* don't look forward to doing it when we move after my wife graduates. I hope you find a good job, Jess. Some place doesn't know it yet, but they really want you!
