Happy World AIDS Day

My friend Sara-Beth put a great video on her facebook page today for World AIDS Day that I wanted to share with all of you here. It does a great job explaining what HIV/AIDS is and how it's spread. It also magnifies an important point, that many children are unnecessarily overlooked for adoption who are HIV+, because of the stigma and ignorance about this virus. Truthfully I still have a long way to go in my understanding of this virus, but I think information like this is helping to get the truth out about people with HIV and those who seek to love them, as Jesus loved us.

Also, could you share a quick prayer for Sara-Beth and her family? They've been waiting to adopt two boys from Ethiopia for a really long time, and they're hopeful to get some good news on the process any day now. You can check out their blog for more info about it. Her family is also with MTW, and they are in the process of raising support to serve as missionaries in Southeast Asia.
